Learn Faster With Kaizen Connect®

This 3 phase cycle is applied continuously to your language learning:

P1: Production

Instructors use a range of techniques to draw and facilitate production from learners.  Linguistic raw data, taken from actual speech, is carefully recorded in their Student Learning File.

P2: Insight

The collected information is reviewed and assessed by our Academic Team - Instructors, Academic Liaison & Academic Coordinator - in order to assure that each learner is progressing at an optimal pace.

P3: Elevation

Each student's Learning Plan is then adjusted as needed, taking the Academic Team's analysis into account. Learners are made aware of their biggest challenges and advised on how to take their speaking skills up to the next level.

Kaizen Connect® is an agile learning system developed and used by E-QIP for more than a decade. This framework is designed exclusively for learning a new language, with one central purpose: to help you learn faster.

Need more attention?

Equip yourself with the tools to thrive

Bilingualism is an invaluable asset for executives anywhere, but nowhere more so than here in Canada—and in Quebec especially. Develop language skills that will last a lifetime and improve your personal and business outlook with personalized lessons that rely on E-QIP’s widely trusted teaching methods and centre your own objectives, strengths and weaknesses.

A teaching framework with proven results

E-QIP’s teaching framework based on the Japanese concept of kaizen—”continuous improvement”—which means student-focused, interactive lessons and a focus on addressing your mistakes and preventing the development of bad language habits. Between your own inherent ambition and our instructors’ mastery of these methods, which have been carefully developed over more than a decade, you’re guaranteed to come away from each lesson with a deeper understanding of your target language.

1:1 Learning for Those High on Ambition and Low on Time

Who should take our Kaizen Language Training for Executives?

This course has been designed for C-level executives and other senior level managers whose mastery of French or English not only affects their own lives and careers, but also the direction of their entire companies. They're especially ideal for those learners who have been left feeling disillusioned or discouraged by large group classes, or whose learning needs or aims simply can’t be addressed by a one-size-fits-all formula.

No schedule is too full to accommodate

You don't have time to enrol in a full-time French or English course or spend days at a time immersed in the language. Whatever your availability, there’s a time slot waiting for you. We’ll save you a spot at our Montreal campus, meet you in the virtual classroom or send one of our instructors right to your office.

The topics that matter to you, in depth

Want to brush up on appropriate language to use in emails with clients? Struggling to make yourself understood on calls with foreign clients? Customized language classes offer the chance to concentrate exclusively on topics of interest while improving your overall confidence and fluency.

Take your speaking ability to the next level

For you, mastery of the spoken language doesn't equate to an ill-defined series of future possibilities; it equates to closed deals, new connections and exciting partnerships. Wherever you’re hoping that bilingualism take you and your company, you’re guaranteed to get there sooner with private lessons.

You build your linguistic toolbox and practice elements of language from form to usage. Instructors increase awareness of your challenges and help you eliminate them.

Now you're speaking clearly!

You focus on topics, and scenarios to build confidence handling both more casual and increasingly complex interactions. Our instructors host and facilitate conversation, introduce communicative strategies, and offer practical feedback.

Now you're speaking confidently!

You activate your language in various real life situations. Our instructors shift from coaches to mentors, reviewing practical forms and strategies, then take you beyond the classroom. Operating autonomously is the goal.

Comprehensive Support

Let our expert language instructors, administrators and support staff members take care of all of the details so that you can focus on learning.

Online Placements

Our convenient online placement system measures your language performance across a range of components, including speaking, listening, grammar and fluency. This ensures that your journey begins on the right track and lays a strong foundation for growth.

Humanistic Curriculum

Learning a language is more than just an academic pursuit; language touches all aspects of our lives, and as such, we recognize the importance of providing an experience that’s focused on growing, rather than merely reaching benchmarks. Our humanistic approach to learning allows you to truly connect with your target language and learn it more deeply.

Instructor Training

Instructors assume many roles in a learner’s journey—from trainer and coach to cheerleader and mentor. The growth and success of our teachers is just as important to us as our students; we nurture them so that they can nurture you and your language development.

Gifted Instructors

Instructors who foster a supportive, inspiring learning environment are equally as important as the content of the lessons themselves. We exclusively seek instructors who are positive, respectful and open-minded so that you feel welcome and are comfortable enough to let yourself share and grow alongside them.

Student Files

Our learning file system allows teachers to collaborate with each other (and with you!) on your learning by tracking and recording your progress in detail during and after every class. This guarantees that you always receive a class that is tailored to your abilities and can therefore experience constant improvement.

Progress Reports

Regular progress reports provide a detailed snapshot of where you are in the learning process, the particular challenges that you’re facing and the next steps that you can take in pursuit of your goals.

Academic Counseling

Moving forward often involves receiving deeper insight into your progress and the opportunities ahead. One-on-one sessions with a member of our academic team will help you feel confident about your journey and the places it can take you.

Academic Team

Members of our academic team will keep a watchful eye on your entire journey at EQIP. This team includes an academic coordinator who ensures the quality of all of our programs, a teacher coach who guides and supports our instructors and a student liaison who will monitor your development.

Our monthly student progress reports, leading-edge teaching framework, Kaizen Connect®—which empowers our students to learn from their own mistakes—and ample opportunities for students to both provide and receive feedback enable us to remain accountable to those whose opinions matter the most: our students. If you’re putting in the work, you will make progress—that’s a guarantee, and the system we’ve put in place ensures that this remains true.

E-QIP is where like-minded growth seekers and global citizens converge to reap the benefits that multilingualism has to offer, and their ambition is what makes motivating our students the easiest part of the job for any E-QIP teacher. In our experience, the best way to foster growth in our students and fuel the passion that already exists within them is through encouragement and support, which we deliver through open lines of communication between students and instructors and our team of helpful, empathetic support staff members.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are private lessons offered at my level?

Yes—our Kaizen Language Training for Executives is offered at all levels, from beginner to advanced. To determine your current level of fluency and comprehension, we ask that you send us an email at or fill out our contact form. We’ll conduct an assessment of your level, upon completion of which we’ll get in touch to discuss next steps, including the intended focus of your lessons. See the bottom of our Academics page for a breakdown of the language levels E-QIP uses.

How long will it take for me to become fluent?

Fluency depends on many elements, including how many hours you’re spending in class, how much time you’re spending using your target language outside of class and—perhaps most importantly—how motivated you are to learn. Even the concept of “fluency” is hard to define; for some, fluency simply means getting through basic everyday situations with ease, while for others, it means speaking clearly and confidently about highly specialized subjects. With that said, we’ve laid out the average number of lessons required for absolute beginners to reach each language level. For those taking private lessons, the average number of classes required to reach the highest level (12—in other words, the level of a native speaker) is 150, while for group classes, that number is 450.

When can I start?

Private lessons can commence at any time. We simply ask all of our students to register by the Wednesday before their intended start date (for the sake of our admin team).

How many lessons should I schedule per week?

That’s entirely up to you, and depends on your availability and goals. Think of language learning like training at the gym; one lesson per week is ideal for maintenance, while two to three will allow you to see faster improvements—you may even wish to schedule four or five lessons per week if you’re especially keen to make progress.

Can I request a particular instructor?

Yes. Specific instructors can be requested at a charge of $10 per lesson. With that said, E-QIP’s teaching framework is based on the belief that students benefit from working with a range of teachers, who bring different approaches, experiences and accents to the table. Check out the E-QIP blog to read more about why we believe in exposing students to teaching styles.
