As a business leader, effective communication is crucial. Bring your communication skills up to speed with private sessions in which your learning is the only focus. No goal is too big or too small: we’ll work with you around your schedule for a day, a month, a year or beyond to help you master the language of your clients, colleagues or community.
Instructors use a range of techniques to draw and facilitate production from learners. Linguistic raw data, taken from actual speech, is carefully recorded in their Student Learning File.
The collected information is reviewed and assessed by our Academic Team - Instructors, Academic Liaison & Academic Coordinator - in order to assure that each learner is progressing at an optimal pace.
Each student's Learning Plan is then adjusted as needed, taking the Academic Team's analysis into account. Learners are made aware of their biggest challenges and advised on how to take their speaking skills up to the next level.
Bilingualism is an invaluable asset for executives anywhere, but nowhere more so than here in Canada—and in Quebec especially. Develop language skills that will last a lifetime and improve your personal and business outlook with personalized lessons that rely on E-QIP’s widely trusted teaching methods and centre your own objectives, strengths and weaknesses.
E-QIP’s teaching framework based on the Japanese concept of kaizen—”continuous improvement”—which means student-focused, interactive lessons and a focus on addressing your mistakes and preventing the development of bad language habits. Between your own inherent ambition and our instructors’ mastery of these methods, which have been carefully developed over more than a decade, you’re guaranteed to come away from each lesson with a deeper understanding of your target language.
I had a great experience at E-QIP - smart teachers that gave encouraging attention to each student, very small class sizes, a friendly, energized, and professional environment, and virtually no stress… The structure felt very well thought out - the schedule of classes was ideal for staying alert and attentive… It's nothing like the language classes I took in high school…
The classes are oriented towards speaking, everyday situations, for you to feel confident in your everyday activities… groups are small and that is perfect for rapid advancement…
E-QIP makes learning French fun and I never thought I would have the confidence to speak and connect with people using a completely different language…
Terrific school and staff. I took a one week intensive french class and really got a lot out of it. The classes are structured in a way that gives a lot of time to speaking as well as learning grammar and vocabulary… There is a nice continuity between classes so what you learn in one class, you practice in the next… I got some very good tips for how to continue my French practice outside of the class and some good tips for how to accelerate my learning path… very supportive and clear in their communication and teaching…
In the past I've had difficulty getting on with more traditional language learning, so E-QIP was perfect for me as the style of teaching is very laid back, modern and informal… The teachers were all so enthusiastic and encouraging, and the atmosphere in the school is ridiculously welcoming and relaxed…
I was used to the more traditional teaching methods common in Europe and was delighted by the conversation and interaction based curriculum at E-QIP… It was a confidence boosting and liberating experience...
The 45min format of classes was great for keeping my attention and the change of teachers for each class means you don’t get used to one accent…
I love that the classes are structured (one unit of composition, one unit of grammar, one unit of conversation) but not TOO structured… This makes the learning process a lot more fun, which is important for someone like me who doesn't thrive in a tedious classroom environment that's 100% grammar focused.
Our classes emphasized speaking, and I could see my own "shyness" about speaking gradually fade with time… Teachers were interested in our education and were always very sensitive as they developed our language skills… They took notes everyday on each student, which aided individual progress…
Both the methodology and its implementation at E-QIP are superior to anything I've ever experienced in college or at the Alliance Francaise… They maintain a strong emphasis on speaking and listening that diminishes bashfulness and brings out the best, friendliest, most lucid version of every student...
I’ve learned different languages using various methods, and even tried learning French before. But never have I encountered a method quite as the one E-QIP uses… The atmosphere and materials are great. A wonderful place to learn…
I was really impressed by 1) the overall teaching philosophy and 2) the infinite patience of their teachers. If you only learned a foreign language the old fashioned, classroom-based way and as a result hated the experience, E-QIP's methods and atmosphere will come as a (good) shock to you. At first, I felt thrown into the deep end because my French is still at the very beginning level. However, E-QIP's teachers are supportive, patient and kind, and the language learning approach is very communicative.
The school is run very professionally and all interactions with them were smooth and easy. The teachers are committed and knowledgeable - not just about the languages they teach, but about how to teach and learn languages. Can't recommend them highly enough!
<Best teaching system I have ever seen. No tests and each student has differentiated attention.> Os professores sao os melhores, vou sentir falta.
They have a flexible teaching method that is more customized for the students in each class. Also, there are 3 different teachers each hour, who rotate each week, so you get to know all the teachers and their teaching styles. Also, very fun atmosphere; everyone makes friends here pretty quickly.
Currently taking Spanish here and am loving it. The teachers are all really friendly and professional. What I like most is the ability to learn entirely through speaking and making mistakes instead of the traditional grammar/spelling lessons that get tiring way too fast. Absolutamente lo recomenderia.
Wow, this school was exactly what I needed! I had a private tutor in French at a very high level exactly tailored to my needs at a reasonable price. Because I want to keep learning at E-QIP I have canceled future trips to Brussels and Paris and I'm coming back to Montreal!
<The most important thing - here you can really break the language barrier and start talking. All the activities are aimed specifically at constant communication.> Занятия проходят, на мой взгляд, в идеальных по размеру группах — около 6-7 человек.
E-QIP is different from other traditional schools! Especially teachers focus on each student's needs and area's carefully so I could get immediate feedback from them. It helped me work on it by myself. While I studied in E-QIP, I learned a lot other than just languages, such as culture, relationship, life etc etc. I won't forget every and each moment I have shared in E-QIP.
<Their goal is to get us to "study less and talk more" and that is really what happens there!>
<And it's really a pleasure to be able to practice like that instead of writing a lot for nothing.> Et le fait qu’il ait moins d’élève permet vraiment à tout le monde d’avoir le temp de s’exprimer et ça permet aux prof de nous aider one by one just parfait.
Passei bons meses nessa escola. <The fact that they focus more on developing speaking skills, and not necessarily on morphology and grammar for 3 hrs, was crucial for me. Of course you study, but the classes go beyond that. Each student is evaluated individually within the group.>
<The teachers also teach according to the level of each student, and if there are any mistakes, they immediately correct them.>どう伝えたらよいか悩んでいるときも、しっかりと待ってくださいます。
<I think this school is unique because it has a teaching system in which you are always participating and speaking in such a way that you gain a lot of confidence and fluency in speaking.> Yo recomiendo muchisimo esta escuela y les puedo garantizar que despues de 6 meses ustedes estaran hablando otro idioma!!
<The family atmosphere and the nice people are definitely a reason to choose this school. The teachers are very open-hearted and very patient.> Insgesamt habe ich viele neue, wertvolle Erfahrungen gesammelt und mein Englisch hat sich auch sehr verbessert :) Gerne wieder :)
<A very rewarding experience, E-QIP is a place where you don't feel like being in school, it's like being at home with friends learning a language in a very fun way.> Puedo decir que me encantó el método de aprendizaje porque fué muy dinámico.
Totalmente recomendada. <Excellent school, very relaxed and conducive to learning and practice, very good program and excellent teachers. Totally recommended.>
E-QIP was an absolutely wonderful experience and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the school… you begin to improve without even noticing. Teachers are attentive to your individual needs and have a unique way of promoting interaction and speaking during classes. Everyday I was excited to come to classes and learn, I never felt pressured to participate, and never felt embarrassed to try. The best time and money spent in Montreal thus far!
I was at this school for only 2 weeks. But, I must say that my stay here was very effective for me, because my French has become better. I had more opportunities to speak French than in other schools. In addition, many things in French grammar have become clearer to me.
Most of the teachers are young, professional, and fun, which gives a modern and casual feel to the learning experience…
I learned English for about 1 year at E-QIP. At first I intended to study there for 3 months or so, but I came to enjoy studying English at the school and extended the period. Teachers at E-QIP are all nice and dedicated. What is better, they have good skills to teach and always respect us and listen to our requests.
E-QIP offers small classes and it was good for me. It made me easier to ask questions and say something during classes.
Before I started to study at E-QIP, I'd hardly talked to native English speakers. But thanks to E-QIP, my English skill improved and I got more confident than before.
They offer interesting activities that give us good chances to speak English without feeling stressful and make friends with other students.
Staff at the front desk were kind, so when you need their help , I'm sure they are willing to help you.
I took 2-3 semesters of Japanese group class a few years ago. I found the teacher covered a lot of useful topics and give us plenty of practice not just reading and writing but speaking and listening as well. Afterward, I visited Japan for 2 months and was so happy to be able to have small conversations with locals. I am really thankful for E-QIP method of teaching. They also offer interesting community activities to discover more about the culture outside of a classroom setting.
Highly recommended to anyone with a serious intent to learn to communicate in French. Both the methodology and its implementation at E-QIP are superior to anything I've ever experienced in college or at the Alliance Francaise. They maintain a strong emphasis on speaking and listening that diminishes bashfulness and brings out the best, friendliest, most lucid version of every student. In time, all the speaking and listening refinements trickle down to reading and writing skills, which organically improve.
This course has been designed for C-level executives and other senior level managers whose mastery of French or English not only affects their own lives and careers, but also the direction of their entire companies. They're especially ideal for those learners who have been left feeling disillusioned or discouraged by large group classes, or whose learning needs or aims simply can’t be addressed by a one-size-fits-all formula.

We’ll save you a spot at our Montreal campus, meet you in the virtual classroom or send one of our instructors right to your office.
Want to brush up on appropriate language to use in emails with clients? Struggling to make yourself understood on calls with foreign clients? Customized language classes offer the chance to concentrate exclusively on topics of interest while improving your overall confidence and fluency.
For you, mastery of the spoken language doesn't equate to an ill-defined series of future possibilities; it equates to closed deals, new connections and exciting partnerships. Wherever you’re hoping that bilingualism take you and your company, you’re guaranteed to get there sooner with private lessons.

Our instructors, administrators and curriculum developers are the best at what they do, and our trademark teaching framework, Kaizen Connect®, enables them to curate and deliver learning experiences that are transformative, effective and infused with joy.
Our professionalism doesn’t stop at the classroom. Whether you’ve undertaken your language learning journey as a workplace requirement or with the intention of shifting into an entirely new role or career, we're dedicated to helping you achieve the transition you’re after.
Our monthly student progress reports, leading-edge teaching framework, Kaizen Connect®—which empowers our students to learn from their own mistakes—and ample opportunities for students to both provide and receive feedback enable us to remain accountable to those whose opinions matter the most: our students. If you’re putting in the work, you will make progress—that’s a guarantee, and the system we’ve put in place ensures that this remains true.
E-QIP is where like-minded growth seekers and global citizens converge to reap the benefits that multilingualism has to offer, and their ambition is what makes motivating our students the easiest part of the job for any E-QIP teacher. In our experience, the best way to foster growth in our students and fuel the passion that already exists within them is through encouragement and support, which we deliver through open lines of communication between students and instructors and our team of helpful, empathetic support staff members.
Yes—our Kaizen Language Training for Executives is offered at all levels, from beginner to advanced. To determine your current level of fluency and comprehension, we ask that you send us an email at hello@clc-canada.com or fill out our contact form. We’ll conduct an assessment of your level, upon completion of which we’ll get in touch to discuss next steps, including the intended focus of your lessons. See the bottom of our Academics page for a breakdown of the language levels E-QIP uses.
Fluency depends on many elements, including how many hours you’re spending in class, how much time you’re spending using your target language outside of class and—perhaps most importantly—how motivated you are to learn. Even the concept of “fluency” is hard to define; for some, fluency simply means getting through basic everyday situations with ease, while for others, it means speaking clearly and confidently about highly specialized subjects. With that said, we’ve laid out the average number of lessons required for absolute beginners to reach each language level. For those taking private lessons, the average number of classes required to reach the highest level (12—in other words, the level of a native speaker) is 150, while for group classes, that number is 450.
Private lessons can commence at any time. We simply ask all of our students to register by the Wednesday before their intended start date (for the sake of our admin team).
That’s entirely up to you, and depends on your availability and goals. Think of language learning like training at the gym; one lesson per week is ideal for maintenance, while two to three will allow you to see faster improvements—you may even wish to schedule four or five lessons per week if you’re especially keen to make progress.
Yes. Specific instructors can be requested at a charge of $10 per lesson. With that said, E-QIP’s teaching framework is based on the belief that students benefit from working with a range of teachers, who bring different approaches, experiences and accents to the table. Check out the E-QIP blog to read more about why we believe in exposing students to teaching styles.
